Mixed Tocopherol is a 70% concentration of naturally derived tocopherols in liquid form. Tocopherols have some varying amounts of Vitamin E activity and are widely used in the health food applications. They are soluble in oil, but not readily soluble in water.
Mixed Tocopherols are commonly used to reduce the rate of oxidation in oils and fats, at dose rates ranging from 0.01% to 0.15% depending on the application. To reduce the onset of oxidation, Mixed Tocopherols should be added to the oil or fat as soon as possible, and stirred in thoroughly without aeration.
