Pectin Jam (Apple, Multipurpose) is a universal pectin ideally suited to a range of homemade and traditional jams. This pectin is derived from apples and gives fruit jams a smooth spreadable texture. If you are starting out with jam this ingredient is a great first choice. It requires at least 60% dissolved sugar and some acid to ensure a good set.
